Udupi: Man dies after mistakenly using rat poison as toothpaste

A 53-year-old resident of Udupi, passed away after inadvertently using rat poison as toothpaste.
On November 1, Venkappa Poojary mistakenly used rat poison, thinking it was toothpaste, leading to his untimely demise as he received no immediate treatment.
Poojary fell ill after the incident and was rushed to a private hospital in Mukka for medical attention. However, the treatment proved ineffective, and he tragically succumbed to his condition on November 6.
The deceased leaves behind his wife and two sons.
