Bantwal: Thieves enter Anganwadi center, steal essential materials worth Rs 7000

In a shocking incident, thieves targeted an Anganwadi center in Shanti Gudde near Bondala, Panemangaluru village, and stole essential materials meant for supporting children’s nutrition and growth.

The culprits forcibly entered the Anganwadi center, making away with various items valued at around Rs 7,000, as reported by Anganwadi worker Devaki. The stolen items included a 10-liter aluminum cooker worth approximately Rs 1,500, another 5-liter aluminum cooker valued at about Rs 1,000, two aluminum cans with lids estimated at Rs 3,000, Rs 1,000 in cash, and various grocery items.

Devaki promptly lodged a complaint with the Bantwal town police station, leading to the registration of a case under IPC sections 454, 457, and 380. The police are actively investigating the matter to bring the perpetrators to justice.
