The police department routinely initiates the process of issuing externment notices to individuals involved in criminal activities to maintain law and order situation. However, allegations have been raised that the police have recently served such notices to 4 Bajrang Dal (BD) workers without proper reason.
Member of ParliamentNalin Kumar Kattel questioned the basis for the notices extended to Bajrang Dal workers, and raised questions about the criteria guiding these actions.
The controversy stems from the issuance of externment notices even in cases involving a single alleged offense. Nalin Kumar Kateel expressed a sentiment of being willing to face similar action, emphasizing the need for fairness in the process.
In response to these actions, concerned activists engaged with the MP and communicated with officials regarding the deportation orders. MP Kateel advised officials against succumbing to external pressures, urging a meticulous review of cases before initiating action.
Meanwhile, Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji of Udupi Pejavara Matha strongly voiced disapproval, stating that the process of externment targeting Hindu activists is unacceptable. He emphasized that such actions neither reflect positively on the government nor justify targeting and penalizing a specific group.
