Sheynnis Palacios from Nicaragua crowned Miss Universe 2023

In a glamorous ceremony held at the Jose Adolfo Pineda Arena in San Salvador, El Salvador, Sheynnis Palacios from Nicaragua emerged victorious, claiming the esteemed title of Miss Universe 2023.
The event, which took place on November 19 according to Indian Standard Time (IST), witnessed Palacios being crowned by the reigning Miss Universe 2022, R’Bonney Gabriel from the USA, amid enthusiastic applause from the audience.
Palacios, radiating elegance and charm, adorned a stunning embellished gown that captivated the attention of onlookers. Her victory marked a historic moment as she became the first Nicaraguan woman to achieve the coveted Miss Universe title.
Among the notable contestants, Australia’s Moraya Wilson secured the position of the second runner-up, while Thailand’s Anntonia Porsild claimed the first runner-up spot in this highly competitive beauty pageant.
Representing India, Shweta Sharda, hailing from Chandigarh, showcased her remarkable talent and grace, earning a place among the top 20 finalists. The inclusion of Pakistan in this year’s Miss Universe marked a significant debut for the country on this global stage.
With participation from 84 countries and territories, the 72nd Miss Universe pageant captivated audiences worldwide. Esteemed personalities such as American television figures Jeannie Mai, Olivia Culpo (Miss Universe 2012), and Maria Menounos graced the event as hosts.
