Dr. Sree Shivamurthy Muruga Sharan of Muruga Mutt, recently released on bail, is facing fresh legal challenges as the Chitradurga District Court issues a non-bailable arrest warrant against him.

Released on bail by the High Court in the first POCSO case on November 16, Muruga Sharan now faces detention without bail in a second case. The warrant was issued by the Chitradurga District Court, complicating his legal situation.

Muruga Sharan was freed from the district jail on November 16, coinciding with the ongoing body warrant hearing in the second POCSO case. Despite attending the morning hearing through video conference from jail, he later participated via mobile for the afternoon session.

In a significant turn of events during the court proceedings on November 18, an investigation was ordered into the release process from the district jail, considering it occurred mid-trial. The court has reserved the order for the same case until Monday, November 20, instructing for Muruga Sharan’s arrest and appearance by the following day.
