Mangaluru: CCB police arrests two for illegally selling drugs; MDMA seized

The CCB Police of Mangalore apprehended two individuals for allegedly engaging in the illegal sale of drugs, specifically MDMA, to college students and the public in a public place.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Abdul Rahiman (42) from Kolnadu in Bantwal taluk and Mohammad Ziyad (22) from Jogibettu, Adavinabagilu in Beltangady taluk.

The operation unfolded on Friday when the Mangalore CCB Police received information about the illegal sale of MDMA in Mudipu Mooloor, Ullal Taluk of Mangalore City. During the raid, law enforcement seized assets valued at Rs 4,95,000, including 35 grams of the banned drug MDMA, a digital weight scale, an Alto car, and a mobile phone.

Abdul Rahiman, one of the accused, has a previous criminal record, with cases registered against him in various police stations, including theft of idols in Beltangady police station, a rioting case in Bantwal rural police station, a fraud case in Padubidre police station, and the sale of MDMA in Uppinangady police station.

Another accused, Mohammad Ziyad, faces a case of MDMA consumption, registered at Uppinangady police station.
