Truck-scooter collision at Bantwal: Cop chases, nabs fleeing driver

A man was injured after a truck rammed into his two-wheeler at Kaikunje Cross on BC Road here.

The victim Giriappa Moolya fell off the scooter due to impact of the collision. He has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

Following the mishap the truck driver fled the spot. However, the public notified the on-duty traffic policeman who then chased the truck and apprehended the driver at Bastipadpu.

Melkar traffic police registered a case in this regard.
