Preparations for the first-ever Kambala event have been completed, and the organizers are optimistic about a highly successful two-day affair, as stated by MLA Ashok Kumar Rai, the President of the Bangalore Kambala Committee.
Speaking at a press conference held at the Palace Grounds, Rai expressed confidence that the event would draw a massive crowd of seven to eight lakh people. Extensive arrangements, including ample parking facilities and dedicated volunteers, have been put in place to ensure a seamless experience for attendees.
In a bid to facilitate easy access to the Palace Grounds, where the carpet event will unfold, Rai announced the arrangement of 150 additional buses.
Renowned music director Gurukiran, acknowledging the historic nature of the event, emphasized that for the first time, Kambala is being held in Bengaluru. Anticipating its success, he noted that the occasion would be a milestone for the state.
The expansive area has been set up to accommodate a large gathering, with continuous cultural programs planned alongside the Kambala races. Attendees can look forward to performances such as Yakshagana, Pili nalike, and a music evening featuring renowned artists. To cater to the local audience, commentary during the Bengaluru Kambala will be conducted in Kannada.
