Ramanagara:  BJP State President B Y Vijayendra held a significant meeting on Sunday at Bidadi Farm with former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy, who is also the JDS State President.

The leaders addressed the media following the meeting and said that discussions encompassed issues such as the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the potential alliance between the two parties, and the prevailing political landscape in the state.

Kumaraswamy said, “In the national interest, we have deliberated that Narendra Modi should continue as Prime Minister in the forthcoming term. The allocation of constituencies will be addressed by the High Command. We anticipate victory in all 28 constituencies across the state.”

Reflecting on the past coalition government, Kumaraswamy expressed, “The commendable work done by Yediyurappa and me during the 2006 tenure is something the people desire to see repeated. Leaders from both parties, including Vijayendra, Nikhil Kumaraswamy, and others, will collaborate to revive the prosperous state of 2006-07.”

He further asserted a united front between Vijayendra and Nikhil Kumaraswamy, affirming, “Both sides will collaborate closely, presenting a unified front. Our focus will be on highlighting the incumbent government’s missteps on record.”

The recent advertisement by CM Siddaramaiah proclaiming a janata darshan was countered by Kumaraswamy, who remarked that such initiatives are limited to advertising and expenditure from public funds. He alleged daily misinformation in these advertisements.

Kumaraswamy reminisced about his and Yediyurappa’s previous Janata Darshan, asserting, “The people haven’t forgotten the days when we tirelessly addressed countless complaints, providing immediate solutions from morning till evening.”

Meanwhile, Vijayendra emphasized a resolute stance against the incumbent Congress government, stating, “Our aim is to secure victory in all 28 Lok Sabha constituencies. We aim to hold the corrupt Congress government accountable.”

He highlighted discussions held with key figures like Narendra Modi, JP Nadda, Amit Shah, HD Kumaraswamy, and former Prime Minister Deve Gowda, affirming a unified front between BJP and JDS. Vijayendra stressed the objective of strategically ensuring no Congress MPs represent the state.
