Road accident deaths: Accused lorry driver sentenced to 2 years behind bars

Belthangadi: The Belthangadi KMFC court has sentenced a lorry driver accused of causing the deaths of bike riders to 2 years in prison.
The accused Muhammed Sinan was charged with causing the deaths of motorbike riders Misba-ud-din and Asnaan near Maddadka of Kuvettu village in a road accident on January 17, 2022.
A case had been registered against the Eicher lorry driver at the Belthangadi Traffic Police Station in this regard. Later a charge sheet was filed in court.
Based on the evidence presented, the court held the accused guilty and sentenced him to serve 2 years imprisonment, and a fine of one thousand rupees. In case of failure to pay the fine, the accused was ordered to serve another month behind bars.
