Former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy expressed his grave concern over the recent case of feticide, describing it as an incident that warrants collective reflection.

Speaking in Mysuru, Kumaraswamy criticized the administration, stating that the incident not only demands introspection from everyone but also underscores the failure of the administrative system.

“This is a deeply inhumane incident, and it exposes the shortcomings in our administrative machinery,” remarked Kumaraswamy, taking a swipe at the ruling party. He urged parents to be vigilant and pleaded for such incidents not to recur. Emphasizing the importance of treating girls with respect, he highlighted that, even in the 21st century, the attitude towards girls is often misguided.

Firmly denouncing feticide as an illegal and criminal act, Kumaraswamy called for severe punishment for those involved in the incident. He also drew attention to the rising cases of child theft, urging the government to take responsibility. The former CM stressed the need for the concerned department officials to take swift and appropriate action to address these issues.
