Police officials have arrested seven in connection with theft at Producer Rockline Venkatesh’s brother, businessman Bhramaresh’s house.

The arrested accused have been identified as Upendra, Narabahadur, Kakendra Shahi, Komal, Swastika, Parvati and Shadala of Nepal origin.

It is said that Bhramaresh had gone to Greece along with his family on October 21 and when he returned on October 29, he found that his house was burgled.

Following this, he filed a police complaint, and an investigation was launched. Police officials nabbed the accused with the help of CCTV visuals.

Among those arrested, Upendra was working as a security guard of an under-construction building next to the complainant Bhramaresh’s house. The other five accused lived with Upendra.

The accused had been monitoring Bhramaresh’s house for three months. After getting information that the Bhramaresh family had left for a foreign trip, on the night of October 21, they jumped into the compound of Bhramaresh’s house and cut the window bars with the help of a machine to gain entry into the house.

They then stole gold ornaments, cash and other valuables from the house.  Rs 1.53 worth of goods including gold, cash and watches were seized from the accused.
