Kundapur: Three held for BSNL tower batteries theft

Kundapur: Three persons have been apprehended for the alleged theft of six used batteries from the BSNL tower building in Golikatte Gudde, Shankaranarayana village.

Acting on the complaint lodged by Pradeep Ajri, technician of PTPL company on November 27 police swung into action and arrested the accused identified as Krishna (45) from Udyavar, Badruddin (38), and Usman (38) from Bantwal within 24 hours.

Police seized items valued at Rs 4.6 lakh, including a pick-up vehicle from their possession.

Shankaranarayana Police Station PSI Nasir Hussain and personnel were involved in the operation.
