Ramanagara: The abduction case of businessman Mahadevaiah, the brother-in-law of politician C P Yogeshwara, has taken a significant turn. Mahadevaiah’s car has been found in Chamarajanagar on Sunday evening. Reportedly, blood stains were discovered in the vehicle, prompting intensified police investigations.

The car was found abandoned near a primary healthcare center in Ramapura village in Hanur Taluk by police on the night beat and was later identified to be belonging to Mahadevaiah.

For the past two days, the Channapatna police have been trying to trace Mahadevaiah’s whereabouts. Though his car was found in Chamarajanagar, there are no clues as to where Mahadevaiah has been taken.

The police are examining the CCTV cameras in the area for vital clues. Additionally, various investigative units including the FSL team and the canine squad were also called to the spot where the car was found for a thorough investigation.

Based on a complaint by Mahadevaiah’s son Prashanth, a case had been registered at the Channapatna rural police station.
