Kundapur: Renowned drama actor Ashok Shanbhag, associated with the esteemed Rupkala drama troupe, breathed his last on Friday, December 8 night at a private hospital in Kundapur. The actor succumbed to illness after battling health issues for some time.
Ashok Shanbhag carved a niche for himself in the theatrical world, particularly shining in comedy roles that endeared him to audiences. His notable performances include memorable acts in plays such as “Mooru Muttu” “Avanalla Ivanu,” “Papa Pandu” and a few others.
The news of his demise has cast a pall of sadness over the hearts of many admirers and fans who cherished his contributions to the world of drama. The versatile actor’s ability to evoke laughter and connect with audiences through his performances earned him a special place in the hearts of theater enthusiasts.
