Surathkal: The interfaith couple who were reported missing presented themselves at the Surath Police station on Friday evening.

Prashant Bhandari (31), a youth of Katipalla, 7th block of Suratkal police station, and Ayesha, a resident of Asharya Colony, 3rd block said they were married and presented their opinion at Suratkal police station.

The couple said they were in love for 3 years. They reportedly eloped on December 1 as they doubted their family would consent to their union and had got married. Ayesha, meanwhile, has changed her name to Akshata.
