Burglar targets 12 shops, makes off with Rs 61,000 cash

A daring burglary attempt unfolded late on Saturday night in B C Road Kaikamba, where a thief targeted 12 shops, managing to pilfer Rs 61,000 in cash from three establishments.
The thief, clad in a helmet, arrived on a bike during a rainy Saturday night, as captured by CCTV footage. Among the targeted shops, a mobile phone recharge store at Kaikamba suffered a loss of Rs 52,000 in cash, while a hotel and another shop lost Rs 6,000 and Rs 3,000, respectively.
In addition to the successful thefts, the thief also attempted to gain access to nearby cooperative associations. The incident has raised concerns among local businesses, emphasizing the need for heightened security measures in the area. Authorities are now reviewing the CCTV footage to aid in the identification and apprehension of the burglar.
