The Alvas Virasat 2023 witnessed an unparalleled evening of music and festivity as the renowned playback singer, Shreya Ghoshal, graced the stage at the Vanajakshi K Shripati Bhat Bayalu Rangamantapa on Saturday.
Under the auspices of the Alvas Education Foundation, Ghoshal performed the “Bhav Lahari” program, drawing an unexpectedly immense gathering of music enthusiasts. Ghoshal’s performance led to a standing ovation, captivating the audience’s hearts.
The hall transformed into a celestial spectacle during Ghoshal’s rendition of “Teri Ore Teri Ore,” as mobile lights illuminated the atmosphere, creating an ethereal experience.
Notably, Ghoshal’s soulful rendition of popular Kannada songs like “Ninna Nodi Sumanengirli” resonated deeply with the listeners, captivating their senses.
The event culminated in an accolade from Dr. Mohan Alva, acknowledging Ghoshal’s remarkable talent. Expressing her gratitude, Ghoshal extended appreciation to the visionary organizer, Dr Mohan Alva, vowing to return if invited again.
The Alva’s Virasat cultural extravaganza continued to mesmerize attendees. The event also showcased a diverse Sapta Mela, featuring agricultural fairs, food exhibitions, handicraft displays, and more, attracting thousands to the venue.

The Alvas Virasat 2023 award ceremony is scheduled for December 17, commencing at 5:15 pm. Esteemed personalities violinist Dr. Mysore Manjunath, classical Hindustani flute player Dr. Praveen Godkhindi, and playback singer and music director Vijay Prakash will be honored with the prestigious Virasat Award.
Following the awards, an enthralling percussion music session featuring Dr. Mysore Manjunath, Dr. Praveen Godkhindi, Vijay Prakash, and the team will captivate audiences from 6:30 to 7:15 pm.
Subsequently, from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm, the audience will be treated to an enchanting musical evening by the renowned film singer Vijay Prakash. A magnificent cultural program will be held from 9:30 pm to 10:15 pm, promising a captivating conclusion to the evening.
