Lakshmisha Tolpadi wins Sahitya Akademi Award 2023

Renowned thinker, writer, and orator Lakshmisha Tolpadi has been chosen for the Kendriya Sahitya Akademi Award for the year 2023.

Lakshmisha Tolpadi won the coveted award for his exceptional work, ‘Mahabharata Anusandhanada: Bharatayaatre’ in Kannada, the Sahitya Akademi, India’s National Academy of Letters, said in an official release.

The Sahitya Akademi Award is a prestigious literary accolade in India, presented annually to recognize outstanding literary works published in any of the 22 languages listed in the 8th Schedule of the Indian constitution. Instituted in 1954, this award comprises a plaque and a cash prize of ₹ 1,00,000, aiming to celebrate excellence in Indian writing and acknowledge evolving literary trends.
