A fire erupted in a grocery shop located in Mannagudda due to a short circuit on Monday morning. The store, owned by Sandeep and situated on Matadakani Mission Gori Road in Mannagudda, witnessed the mishap at approximately 5:30 am.
The blaze resulted in substantial damage to the goods stored within the grocery shop. The preliminary investigation suggests that the fire originated from a short circuit. The estimated loss is currently assessed at around Rs. 2 lakh.
Fortunately, the timely response of the fire brigade averted a more extensive disaster, preventing the flames from spreading to adjacent shops in the vicinity. While the goods within Sandeep’s grocery shop were consumed by the fire, neighboring establishments were spared due to the swift action of the fire brigade.
Local authorities are conducting further investigations into the incident to ascertain the exact cause of the short circuit and evaluate any additional safety measures that can be implemented in the area.
