Kaup: Pedestrian dies after being hit by tanker

Kaup: A 64-year-old man died on the spot after being hit by a tanker here at Udyavara on Saturday night.
The deceased identified as Jaya Devadiga, a resident of Kemthur in Udupi was working in a hollow block manufacturing unit at Pithrody.
The mishap took place when Devadiga was returning home after finishing work. He was crossing the road when the tanker, moving towards Udupi hit Him, killing him on the spot.
Kapu police station and Katapadi outpost personnel visited the spot.
A case has been registered in this regard. The deceased is survived by his wife, son, and two daughters.
