Manipal: Ambulance crashes into medical shop

Manipal: An out-of-control ambulance crashed into a medical shop near Laxmindra Nagar here in the early hours of Tuesday, January 2.

The ambulance was on its way toward Udupi from Manipal when the man behind the wheels lost control of the vehicle at a turn. The vehicle veered to the right and crashed into the Janaushadhi Kendra beside the road. Adjacent shops also damaged in the incident.

Fortunately, there was no one onboard the ambulance except the driver. The driver sustained minor injuries in the accident.

A large crowd gathered at the spot int he morning. Police have reached the spot and are investigating.
