Hubli: Sri Ram Sena National President Pramod Muthalik after visiting the residence of Srikanth Poojari, who is currently under arrest in Narayan Pete, accused Congress leaders of arresting him in a three-decade-old case to create fear among Ram devotees.
Muthalik alleged that the arrest was made under the directives of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara, attributing it to his role in instilling fear among Ram devotees during the inauguration of Sri Ram Mandir.
He claimed that more arrests are likely to follow and asserted his refusal to succumb to such threats.
The Sri Ram Sena National President accused Vidhana Parishad member BK Hariprasad of attempting to scare Hindus by suggesting the possibility of a Godhra-style riot.
He called for immediate action against Hariprasad for his remarks.
Expressing confidence in Narendra Modi’s potential re-election as Prime Minister in 2024, Muthalik predicted the establishment of a Hindu Rashtra in India. He emphasized that the nation would remain inclusive, with all religions, including Muslims and Christians, coexisting based on equality. Muthalik challenged anyone seeking to oppose this vision, asserting the inevitability of India’s transformation into a Hindu Rashtra.
