Bengaluru: A police complaint has been filed against Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President and Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar and administrators of his Facebook account alleging that they used misused photos of BJP functionaries by posting morphed, derogatory, and maligning posts.
The complaint filed in the High Ground Police Station here by the state coordinator of the BJP’s legal unit, Yogendra Hodaghatta says that state unit president BY Vijayendra, former minister KS Eshwarappa, CT Ravi, Sunil Kumar, and MP Pratap Singh were the target of these maligning posts.
The complaint states that the official Congress Facebook account posted distorted and false content with morphed images of senior BJP leaders. These actions are accused of attempting to create discord among the people of Karnataka, tarnishing the reputation of BJP leaders, it said.
It’s alleged that such posts aim to provoke conflict and unsettle certain sections of society.
Yogendra Hodaghatta, in the complaint, has demanded action against Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar and those managing his Facebook page.
