Shri Durgaparameshwari Dashavatara Yakshagana Mandal is set to resume whole-night performances starting from January 14 in the traditional style.
As per the High Court’s directive and the request of devotees, Yakshagana performances will be conducted throughout the night from January 14, as announced by Chairman of the Temple Management Committee and Hereditary Muktesar Kodethuruguthu Sanath Kumar Shetty, alongside Hereditary Moktesar Vasudeva Asranna.
Recently, the High Court, responding to a petition filed by Krishnakumar, expressed no objections to the full-night Yakshagana performances. However, the court emphasized the importance of adherence to rules to prevent any violations.
Speaking to Udayavani Shetty said that measures would be taken to minimize noise pollution. He clarified that the use of loudspeakers in villages would be controlled, and noise limits would be strictly adhered to in the city.
Emphasizing Yakshagana as a cultural and entertaining endeavor, Shetty stated that the performances would not pose any issues for the public.
