Udupi: Paryaya Sri Puthige Matha’s chief seer Sri Sugunendra Theertha Sripada conveyed the message that the Bhagavad Gita holds a universal message for the upliftment of all people.

In his sermon during the ‘Paryaya Sandhya Darbar’ program at Sri Krishna Matha’s Rajangana, Sri Sugunendra Theertha Sripada highlighted the inspirational aspects of Sri Krishna’s meritorious forms. Swamiji underscored the principles within the Bhagavad Gita as a guide for individuals striving for success in society.

Lord Rama and Krishna serve as guiding lights for individuals in various fields. A virtuous person should avoid personal prestige, focusing instead on excelling in their duties. Deviating from this path constitutes adharma, Swamiji said.

MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal praised Puthige Sri for showcasing the strength of Hinduism globally. He acknowledged Puthige Sripada’s efforts in promoting religious ideals internationally.

Several dignitaries were felicitated during the event, including MLAs Gurme Suresh Shetty, Janardhan Reddy, Aruna Lakshmi, businessman Santosh Shetty, Maharashtra MLA Hitendra Thakur, and others.

Dr. HS Ballal and K Raghupathi Bhat from the Paryaya Swagatha Samiti were present.

Sri Sugunendra Theetha Sripada also acknowledged the contributions of Manipal’s Pai brothers, lauding their excellence in the printing and press industry, particularly through “Udayavani,” recognized as a trustworthy newspaper in the coastal area.

Dr. Sandhya S Pai, Managing Editor of “Taranga” weekly magazine, commended Puthige Sri’s distinguished achievement in religious work abroad. While some tread the success path of previous achievers, whereas trailblazers create a fresh path of their own. Puthige Sri has accomplished a remarkable feat for religious propagation by transcending boundaries and conducting religious activities in foreign countries, all while adhering to Shastra, law, and philosophy, Dr Pai said.
