Mangaluru: Another moral policing incident has come to light in the city. A young couple was heckled by a group of youth near Kadri Park in the city. Several persons have been detained by the police in the incident.
It is gathered that the young man and woman belonging to different communities had travelled from Deralakatte to Jyothi Circle by bus in the morning on Friday.
The group of youth, who had been following them, stopped and harassed the couple near the Kadri Park area. They reportedly prevented the couple from leaving in an autorickshaw.
Police reached the spot and detained several individuals in relation to the incident.
