Mangaluru CCB Police bust gambling ring, 29 arrested

In a raid on Sunday, Mangaluru CCB police apprehended 29 individuals engaged in a playing cards gambling operation in Bandasale, in Kilpadi village, bordering Mulki Police station limits.
Acting on specific information, the police targeted the gathering, where the participants were involved in gambling with card leaves, playing the luck-based game known as Andar-Bahar.
Among the arrested, Nityananda, Wilfred, and Rahman were identified as key figures orchestrating the illicit gambling activities for personal gain. However, Nityananda and Rahman managed to evade capture during the police operation.
A substantial sum of Rs 1,75,450/- in cash, utilized for the gambling activities, was seized from the arrested individuals. The operation was carried out on the border of Mulki police station jurisdiction.
