Thirthahalli: The menace of cattle theft in the taluk has escalated, with recent incidents drawing widespread public attention.

In Seebinakere, a disturbing incident unfolded as culprits stole cows that were sleeping within the premises of the court during the night and loaded them into a luxury car parked.

The incident was captured on video and quickly went viral on social media, sparking public outrage.

Soon after this incident, another case emerged in the Hedduru gram panchayat in Hosalli on Wednesday, January 24 morning.

Locals apprehended an individual who was allegedly transporting cows illegally in a vehicle. The vigilant locals managed to capture both the suspect and four cows along with the vehicle, subsequently turning the individual over to the police.

The detained individual has been handed over to the Malur police station, where an ongoing investigation is underway to address the issue of rampant cattle theft in the region.
