Bengaluru: Two cases of cheating job aspirants have been filed against a woman named Sandhya Pavitra Nagaraj, who is allegedly a Congress leader.
In the first instance, the Jnanabharati police station registered a Non-Cognizable Report (NCR) based on a complaint by Veena, a Maruti Nagar resident. Veena claimed she gave Rs 20 lakh over several installments to Sandhya, who promised her a government job but failed to deliver. The complaint alleged that Sandhya resorted to threats when questioned.
In a separate case, Rangaswamy and his sister Roopa filed a complaint at Jayanagar police station, accusing Sandhya, along with Bhanu Prakash and Harish, of duping them of Rs 11.20 lakhs under the guise of providing government jobs. Despite assurances, the money has not been returned. The accused individuals, including Sandhya, had provided assurances in writing at the police station, promising to return the money. However, as of now, the funds remain unpaid.
Meanwhile, in a viral video, Chandu, a Yadgiri native, alleges Sandhya cheated him of lakhs without fulfilling the promised job. In the video, Chandu is seen pleading for his money back, citing health and financial difficulties.
Photos of Sandhya Pavitra Nagaraj with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar are being widely shared online. Allegations suggest she used these photos to establish credibility while engaging in fraudulent activities.
