Mangaluru: BJP State President BY Vijayendra urged party members to work tirelessly for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and not to treat the Congress lightly.

He addressed party workers at the swearing-in ceremony of new DK District BJP President Satish Kumpala at Adyar Garden on Tuesday. The focus was on the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, with Vijayendra expressing confidence in Narendra Modi’s re-election as Prime Minister.

Vijayendra suggested the creation of a “square feet minister” post, humorously alluding to alleged bribery for building approvals in Bengaluru.

Highlighting the current state government, Vijayendra criticized it as “anti-corrupt, anti-Dalit, and anti-poor.” He accused Siddaramaiah of focusing only on minorities and spending large sums on guarantees. Vijayendra also mentioned the Congress leaders’ keep complaints about being targeted by the central government during IT raids, even though “crores of rupees have been unearthed.”

Addressing the upcoming elections, Opposition Leader R Ashoka predicted that if BJP wins all 28 seats, the Congress state government will not last for even a month. He highlighted the country’s positive sentiment following the inauguration of the Ayodhya Ram Temple and expressed confidence in Modi’s leadership.

MP Nalin Kumar praised the new DK District BJP President Satish Kumpala, stating that under his leadership, the party would succeed in the district. Kumpala, in his address, set a target of winning with a margin of over 3 lakh votes in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The event saw the presence of various political figures, including Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Dr. Ashwath Narayan, MP Nalin Kumar, and other BJP leaders.

The new district president, Satish Kumpala, assured party workers that he understood their concerns and would work to address them. He also welcomed questions and objections directly, expressing his commitment to the party’s success in the upcoming elections.

The event concluded with the induction of new members into the BJP, with Dhananjaya Sasihitlu and Ramesh C joining the party. Satish Kumpala expressed determination to lead the party to victory in the DK constituency with an increased margin.
