Ramanagara: In an unusual incident under Ijoor police station’s jurisdiction, a man who disappeared seven years ago, leaving his wife and kids, has been found living as a transgender person.

Laxman Rao, now known as Vijayalaxmi, went missing in 2017, leaving behind his wife and 2 kids. Despite searching for him, he was nowhere to be found. His wife had lodged a police complaint.

The discovery happened when a video featuring Vijayalaxmi at a felicitation ceremony for Neetu, a transgender person from Bigg Boss, surfaced.

Laxman Rao’s family, eager for his return, spotted the video and informed the police. Authorities traced Vijayalaxmi through the reels creator, Rashmika, after confirming the match with Laxman Rao’s photo.

Vijayalaxmi’s transformed appearance made it challenging for the police to confirm his identity. After initial denials, clever police tactics convinced Vijayalaxmi to acknowledge being Laxman Rao.

However, she expressed no desire to return to her past life, leaving the family devastated.

The Ijoor police resolved the missing person case by obtaining an undertaking from Vijayalaxmi, leaving Laxman Rao’s wife and children disappointed as they returned home without the reunion they had hoped for.
