Bengaluru: The Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms has forwarded a proposal to the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) for the recruitment of gazetted probationary posts in the year 2023-24. These posts, including the reserved category, are vacant across different departments.
The proposal, sent on Friday, urges the KPSC to issue a notification for the recruitment of 384 posts in Group “A” and Group “B.” This move aims to kickstart the selection process for gazetted probationary posts that had faced delays.
Vacancies in various departments of the state government including the Personnel and Administrative Reforms, Commercial Tax, Treasury, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Social Welfare, Revenue, Labour, Cooperation, Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood, Youth Empowerment and Sports, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs among others are to be filled.
Recruitment examination is expected for 159 posts in Group “A” and 225 posts in Group “B” (including Kalyana Karnataka region) in various departments.
Former minister S Suresh Kumar recently protested in front of the KPSC office, expressing dissatisfaction with the delayed recruitment process for various vacant posts.
