Vijayapura:
In a response to Union Minister Prahlada Joshi’s remarks on the political landscape and AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar underscored the importance of maintaining ideological integrity in politics.
Addressing the ongoing discourse surrounding Kharge’s prediction that the BJP would come to power in 2024, Shivakumar cautioned against trivializing political discussions and urged against the politicization of power. He specifically called out Joshi, emphasizing the need to refrain from speaking lightly of anyone, regardless of political affiliations.
Shivakumar expressed his belief that politics should transcend power struggles and be grounded in ideology. He stressed that individuals bring with them a unique set of beliefs, rituals, and thoughts shaped by their upbringing, and these should be respected in political discourse.
On a different note, Shivakumar assured the public that despite the ongoing tender process for the Bengaluru Ring Road project, he, as a farmer’s son, is committed to safeguarding the interests of farmers. He pledged to prevent any injustices against them and asserted that he understands the responsibilities he holds in supporting the agricultural community.
