Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada BJP district president Satish Kumpala alleged that no public works are being undertaken by the state government and accused it of using intimidation.
Claiming that the Congress is not prepared for the Lok Sabha elections, Kumpala accused them of using diversionary tactics and creating an atmosphere of unrest to deflect public attention.
We condemn the goonda policy of Congress government, he told reporters.
Referring to the incident of the NSUI unit of Congress laying siege to MP Nalin Kateel’s residence, Kumpala said that Congress is doing low politics. “Everyone has the right to protest in a democracy. But we must not take the law into our hands. An atmosphere of fear is being created by the attempted siege to the MP’s residence,” he stated.
Furthermore, he appreciated Kateel’s efforts towards the comprehensive development of the district. “Kateel was instrumental in securing huge amounts of grants for various projects including highway, railway, airport, port, corporation, and rural development,” he said adding that he was elected by the people of the district three times due to his work.
