Palakkad division engg works: Southern Railways announces changes to train services from Feb 10

Mangaluru: In light of ongoing engineering works across various sections of the Palakkad Division, Southern Railways has announced several changes to train services, including cancellations, rescheduling, and short termination/origination.

Passengers are advised to take note of these changes and plan their journeys accordingly.

According to a press release by the Southern Railways on February 8, the following changes have been made: 

Cancellation of Train Services:

1. Train No. 06455 Shoranur – Kozhikode Express Special leaving Shoranur at 20.40 hrs o­n 10th, 17th, 24th February, 2024 is fully cancelled

2. Train No. 06454 Kozhikode – Shoranur Express Special leaving Kozhikode at 05.20 hrs o­n 11th, 18th, 25th February, 2024 is fully cancelled

3. Train No. 06470 Nilambur- Shoranur Express Special leaving Nilambur at 05.30 hrs o­n 17th, 18th, 24th, 25th February, 2024 is fully cancelled

4. Train No. 06467 Shoranur – Nilambur Express Special leaving Shoranur at 09.00 hrs o­n 17th, 18th, 24th, 25th February, 204 is fully cancelled

Rescheduling of Train Services:

1. Train No. 16312 Kochuveli – Shri Ganganagar Express scheduled to leave Kochuveli at 15.45 hrs o­n 10th February, 2024 is rescheduled to leave Kochuveli at 20.00 hrs (Late by 4 hours 15 mins)

2. Train No. 16312 Kochuveli – Shri Ganganagar Express scheduled to leave Kochuveli at 15.45 hrs o­n 17th February, 2024 is rescheduled to leave Kochuveli at 18.15 hrs (Late by 2 hours 30 mins)

3. Train No. 16312 Kochuveli – Shri Ganganagar Express scheduled to leave Kochuveli at 15.45 hrs o­n 24th February, 2024 is rescheduled to leave Kochuveli at 19.30 hrs (Late by 3 hours 45 mins)

3. Train No. 16312 Kochuveli – Shri Ganganagar Express scheduled to leave Kochuveli at 15.45 hrs o­n 02nd March, 2024 is rescheduled to leave Kochuveli at 19.45 hrs (Late by 4 hours)

4. Train No. 22637 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Mangaluru Central West Coast Superfast Express scheduled to leave Dr MGR Chennai Central at 13.25 hrs o­n 10th February, 2024 is rescheduled to leave Dr MGR Chennai Central at 16.40 hrs (Late by 3 hours 15 mins)

5. Train No. 22637 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Mangaluru Central West Coast Superfast Express scheduled to leave Dr MGR Chennai Central at 13.25 hrs o­n 17th February, 2024 is rescheduled to leave Dr MGR Chennai Central at 14.55 hrs (Late by 1 hour 30 mins)

6. Train No. 22637 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Mangaluru Central West Coast Superfast Express scheduled to leave Dr MGR Chennai Central at 13.25 hrs o­n 24th February, 2024 is rescheduled to leave Dr MGR Chennai Central at 16.10 hrs (Late by 2 hours 45 mins)

7. Train No. 22637 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Mangaluru Central West Coast Superfast Express scheduled to leave Dr MGR Chennai Central at 13.25 hrs o­n 02nd March, 2024 is rescheduled to leave Dr MGR Chennai Central at 16.25 hrs (Late by 3 hours)

8 Train No. 02197 Coimbatore – Jabalpur Express scheduled to leave Coimbatore at 17.05 hrs o­n 19th, 26th February, 2024 is rescheduled to leave Coimbatore at 17.55 (Late by 50 mins)

9. Train No. 16349 Kochuveli – Nilambur Raja Rani Express scheduled to leave Kochuveli at 20.50 hrs o­n 16th, 17th, 23rd, 24th February, 2024 is rescheduled to leave Kochuveli at 22.30 hrs (Late by 1 hour 40 mins)

10. Train No. 22638 Mangaluru Central – Dr MGR Chennai Central West Coast Superfast Express scheduled to leave Mangaluru Central at 23.45 hrs o­n 08th, 29th February, 2024 is rescheduled to leave Mangaluru Central at 01.45 hrs o­n 09th & 30th February, 2024 (Late by 2 hours)

11. Train No. 22638 Mangaluru Central – Dr MGR Chennai Central West Coast Superfast Express scheduled to leave Mangaluru Central at 23.45 hrs o­n 22nd February, 2024 is rescheduled to leave Mangaluru Central at 00.45 hrs o­n 23rd February, 2024 (Late by 1 hour)

12. Train No. 06062 Nagercoil – Mangaluru Jn Special scheduled to leave Nagercoil at 14.45 hrs on 24th February, 2024 is rescheduled to leave Nagercoil at 18.00 hrs (Late by 3 hours 15 minutes)

13. Train No. 06062 Nagercoil – Mangaluru Jn Special scheduled to leave Nagercoil at 14.45 hrs on 02nd March, 2024 is rescheduled to leave Nagercoil at 18.15 hrs (Late by 3 hours 30 minutes)

Short Termination/Origination of Train Services:

1. Train No. 16307 Alappuzha – Kannur Express leaving Alappuzha at 15.50 hrs o­n 02nd March, 2024 will be partially cancelled between Kozhikode and Kannur. The train will be short terminated at Kozhikode

2. Train No. 22638 Mangaluru Central – Dr MGR Chennai Central West Coast Superfast Express scheduled to leave Mangaluru Central at 23.45 hrs o­n 15th February, 2024 will originate from Mangaluru Jn at 00.30 hrs o­n 16th February, 2024 instead of Mangaluru Central.
