Amit Shah arrives in Mysuru, to hold BJP’s poll strategy meetings

Mysuru: Union Home Minister and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah arrived at Mandakalli Airport in Mysuru via a special flight at 2:40 am today, Sunday, February 11.

The district administration warmly welcomed him, with District Collector Dr. Rajendra extending greetings on their behalf. Notable figures present to welcome him included Bharatiya Janata Party State President B Y Vijayendra, MP Pratap Simha, MLA T. S. Srivatsa, former MLAs Nagendra and Harsh Vardhan, City Police Commissioner Ramesh, Superintendent of Police Seema Latkar, and others.

Participation in Suttur Jatre:

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to participate in the Suttur Jatra Mahotsav. He is scheduled to arrive in Suttur at noon. He will inaugurate a well-equipped 49-room guest house, capable of accommodating over 850 devotees simultaneously. Following this, the Minister will engage in the stage program.

In the wake of the Home Minister’s visit, tight security arrangements including SPG protection have been put in place in Mysuru.

Meetings and Strategy Discussions:

Post the Suttur Kshetra program, the Union Minister will convene a meeting with BJP leaders in Mysuru. As the Lok Sabha elections approach, Amit Shah is anticipated to blow the poll bugle from Chief Minister Siddaramaih’s home district.

Two significant meetings under Shah’s leadership are slated for today. Firstly, a session with state leaders will be held at the Radisson Blu Hotel from 3 pm, followed by a meeting involving key BJP figures, including the state president. Additionally, a BJP core committee gathering comprising representatives from five districts, including presidents, secretaries, organizing heads, and key individuals from each Lok Sabha constituency, is scheduled, sources said.

Focus on Electoral Strategy:

It is gathered that the discussions would include electoral strategy deliberations for the Hassan, Mandya, and Mysore Lok Sabha constituencies, perceived as potential wins for the BJP. Moreover, attention will be directed towards strategizing for the Chamarajanagar constituency’s victory. Amit Shah is expected to provide a comprehensive review of the Old Mysore region during the meeting, sources indicated.
