Mangaluru: The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) will release the first list of Congress candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections by the end of February. KPCC Working President Saleem Ahmed announced this during a press conference in Mangaluru on Sunday.
Ahmed revealed that the list of eligible candidates has already been forwarded from KPCC to the All India Congress Committee (AICC), and the verification and survey process is currently underway and the final list will be confirmed soon.
The party’s internal survey report predicts that the Congress will secure more than 20 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha election, he added.
He attributed this projected success to the Congress guarantees. Ahmed also criticized the BJP for what he described as “10 years of misrule” at the center.
Furthermore, Ahmed stated that the BJP leadership is aware of the potential challenges they face in the state, leading them to organize a party meeting with the presence of Amit Shah.
