SCDCC Bank director B Niranjan Bavanthabettu passes away

Uppinangady/Belthangady: Director of Dakshina Kannada District Central Cooperative Bank (SCDCC Bank) and former president of Dakshina Kannada Co-op. Milk Producers’ Union(DKMUL), B Niranjan Bavanthabettu passed away on February 12 at a private hospital in Mangaluru. He was 76.
Residing in Bavanthabettu, Karaya village, Belthangady taluk, B Niranjan Bavanthabettu is survived by his wife and two daughters. His dedication to service was evident in his longstanding tenure as the director of SCDCC Bank since 1987. Remarkably, he held the position of President for an impressive 41 years, starting from 1983 when the Thannirupant Primary Agriculture Cooperative Society was established.
Additionally, he contributed to the governance as a member and vice president of Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat.

Dr. M N Rajendra Kumar, Chairman of SCDCC Bank, lauded Bavanthabettu’s simplicity and exemplary personality, noting his 37-year tenure as a director and his pivotal role in fortifying the bank.

The community demonstrated their respect by voluntarily closing shop-fronts in Kalleri Pete of Karaya village upon hearing the news of his demise, offering their condolences to the esteemed leader.
