A lorry, carrying a roller vehicle, got stuck under a railway overbridge near Moodankapu at BC Road on Tuesday morning around 9 am.

The lorry was transporting the assets of a construction firm to the work site at Puttur’s Savanur.

It is gathered that the load on the lorry exceeded the height clearance of the bridge, causing it to get stuck. An iron pillar, erected near the overbridge, belonging to the railway department was damaged in the incident.

Fortunately, the incident did not result in any casualties or harm to other vehicles.

Vehicular traffic was disrupted on the road following the mishap.

The railway authorities and traffic police personnel rushed to the scene to assess the situation. A crane was deployed to move the lorry aside, allowing normal traffic movement to resume.
