Theft at jewellery store, CCTV & DVRs among stolen items

Bengaluru: Two thieves decamped with gold ornaments valued at lakhs of rupees after breaking open the door of a jewelry shop near Basavanagudi Nettakallappa Circle on Wednesday late night here.

The incident came to light on Thursday morning when the store staff reported for duty.

As per the complaint, the thieves stole 250 grams of gold and Rs 1.8 lakhs in cash from the shop. Apart from this they also stole the CCTV cameras and DVRs present inside the shop and in its vicinity in a bid to destroy any evidence.

Police have filed a case and a special team has been formed to nab the accused.
