Shirva: A woman and her child have been reported missing since February 22.
Shirva resident Sajida Banu (35) and her two-and-a-half-year-old daughter Muhija Banu, have been missing from sister-in-law Simran’s residence in Ishwara Nagar, Manipal.
Sajida’s husband, Shakeel filed a missing persons complaint at the Shirva Police Station after failing to find his wife and kid. According to the complaint, Shakeel had taken his wife and child to his elder sister’s house on February 21.
Sajida Banu was last seen on the morning of February 22, when she left Simran’s house. She allegedly took her daughter with her.
This is not the first instance of Sajida Banu going missing. Approximately one and a half years ago, she had been reported missing twice, with cases registered at the Padubidri police station. On both occasions, she was eventually found.
Sajida Banu’s disappearance has raised concerns among her family members.
