Acclaimed Kannada film actor and director Rishab Shetty encouraged parents to consider government schools as viable educational options. Speaking at a consultation and development plan release program of Keradi Government Higher Primary School in Kundapura, Shetty reiterated his belief in the potential of government schools to nurture talent and produce achievers.

The Rishab Shetty Foundation has embarked on a mission to transform the Keradi School in Kundapur into a model institution. The initiative, spearheaded by Rishab Shetty himself, aims to bridge the gap between government and private schools by enhancing the facilities and opportunities available to students.

Addressing attendees on Saturday, Shetty emphasized the importance of nurturing talent regardless of background. Despite criticism from some quarters, Shetty said he remains steadfast in his belief that government schools have the potential to produce achievers.

The envisioned transformation of Keradi School includes the introduction of smart classes, computer education, art, sports, yoga, and effective exam preparation programs. Shetty highlighted the foundation’s commitment to providing a holistic educational experience, encompassing both academic and extracurricular activities, he added.

Key facilities to be implemented include a touch of private school quality, spoken English training, a high-quality playground with skilled physical education teachers, exam preparation support, art and cultural activity training, smart classrooms, and school transportation services.

In his address, Shetty reiterated the foundation’s commitment to providing quality education to all children, regardless of their financial background. He called upon the community to join hands in supporting the initiative and ensuring the success of Kundapur’s government school.
