Ramanagara: Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, who had previously voiced aspirations of transforming Ramanagara into a satellite of Bengaluru, reiterated his vision during a recent gathering in Bidadi.

Addressing attendees at a meeting, Shivakumar declared plans to establish a new Bengaluru in the vicinity of Bidadi.

Emphasizing infrastructural development, he disclosed intentions to extend the metro train service up to Bidadi. Furthermore, he proposed the replacement of the Bidadi Authority with the Greater Bengaluru Authority.

Asserting Bidadi’s integral connection to Bengaluru, Shivakumar stressed the shared identity between the two locales, extending from Bengaluru to Sangam and the Kunigal border. Pledging to enhance the region’s prosperity, he vowed to elevate its status, ensuring residents access to the amenities and dignity befitting Bangaloreans.

“I will work to give value to your properties and give employment to your children,” he said.
