Inauguration of renovated Walkeshwar Sri Kashi Math to be held today

Manipal/Mumbai: The inauguration ceremony of the fully renovated Walkeshwar Sri Kashi Math will be held on Feb 29.
Shrimat Samyamindratirtha Shri will inaugurate the new Math. On the occasion of the inauguration, various religious activities have been undertaken under the guidance of Swamiji from Feb 28 to March 9.
Established in the 18th century
Walkeshwar Sri Kashi Math was established in the 18th century and has grown into a religious center with its history. The Vrindavans of Seventh Srimat Madhavendratirtha Swamiji and the 18th Yati of Kashi Math are here.
During Ganeshotsav of GSB Seva Mandal, there is a procedure to place a coconut in front of Srimat Madhavendratirtha Srigala Vrindavan after offering prayers and placing it with Ganapati idol.
Shrimat Madhavendratirtha Shri was a yogi and ascetic of great siddhi. His fame and glory is unparalleled. Walkeshwar Shri Kashi Math was established by him. He was a scholar of mathematics, astrology, palmistry and Ayurveda. This year marks the 250th anniversary of Shrimat Madhavendratirtha Shri’s entrance into the Vrindavan. Along with this, there is also the 110th anniversary celebration of Shrimat Varadendratirtha Shri’s death anniversary.
Foundation Laying in 2022
The foundation stone laying was completed in May 2022 with the blessings of Sri Kashi Abbot Shrimat Samyamindrathirtha Swamiji for the comprehensive renovation of Shri Walkeshwara Math. Now a magnificent building of about 22,000 square feet has been constructed.
