Mangaluru: BJP district president Satish Kumpala announced that if Arun Kumar Puthila decides to join the BJP, he will be warmly welcomed and accorded due status with all honors.
Addressing a press conference, Kumpala highlighted that discussions have taken place between BJP state leaders, office bearers, and seniors with Arun Puthila on multiple occasions. He emphasized that the state president himself has extended an open invitation to Puthila to join the BJP, affirming that the party holds no reservations on the matter. Kumpala emphasized that the invitation extends not only to Puthila but to all individuals who align with the party’s ideology.
“Arun Puthila has a history with the BJP, having been actively involved in Hindu organizations. Despite contesting assembly elections as an independent candidate, he has shown interest in assuming positions within the party, such as district or mandal president,” stated Kumpala.
He clarified that there should be no conditions or pressures attached to joining the BJP, and every individual starts as an ordinary worker. Kumpala assured that once Puthila joins the party, a decision will be made regarding his suitable status within the organization.
Responding to inquiries from reporters regarding the next steps if Puthila declines the invitation, Satish Kumpala asserted, “As a national party, BJP is prepared to face non-partisan competition through elections.”
