Bengaluru/Ballari: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) investigation has revealed similarities between the bomb blast at Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru and the ‘Ballari Module’ case.
On December 18 last year, NIA officials arrested the suspects in ‘Ballari module’ case. Now, the anti-terror agency has taken 2-day custody of Ballari-based Minaj alias M D Suleiman, who is currently at Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara Prison, Syed Samir, and Anas Iqbal Sheikh in Mumbai, Maharashtra, and Shayan Rehman alias Hussain in Delhi.
It was found that the Rameswaram cafe blast suspect had gone to Ballari from Bengaluru via Tumkur and stayed there for a few hours. It is gathered that the Rameshwaram Cafe bomb suspect used the same chemicals as the ‘Ballari case’ suspects.
According to sources, the arrested individuals were found to be organizing students in Ballari and Bengaluru. Additionally, it was discovered that the three suspects arrested in Byadarahalli had incited some youths to join the terror organization.
ISIS connection being investigated:
Suleiman, who is said to be connected to ISIS, had allegedly plotted sabotage in the name of the ‘Ballari Module’. He had bought ammonium nitrate from a fertilizer shop in Ballari. Both Suleiman and Sameer are being interrogated by NIA.
