After nearly a year of political separation, Puthila Parivar has officially merged with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), marking a significant development in local politics.
Arun Kumar Puthila, had floated the Puthila Parivar after failing to get a ticket during the 2023 Assembly elections. Contesting as an independent from Puttur in 2023, he secured the second-highest votes in the constituency.
In a ceremony held at the BJP district office, Arun Kumar Puthila and his supporters officially joined the party unconditionally.
Satish Kumpala, the BJP district president, extended a warm welcome to Puthila, presenting him with a party membership form and a saffron shawl. Notable leaders from Puthila Parivar, including Prasanna Martha, Umesh Gowda, Anil, and others, also joined the BJP on this occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Satish Kumpala emphasized the need for unity within the party and the resolution of any past differences. He declared that all activities would now be conducted under the banner of BJP, leaving behind the identity of Puthila Parivar.
Kumpala urged everyone to strive for the victory of the BJP candidate in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024 and to support the re-election of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Expressing his commitment to the party’s cause, Arun Puthila stated, “I am an RSS worker, and my allegiance lies with the BJP. My decision to join the party is not driven by a desire for any official position but to support Prime Minister Modi’s leadership for another decade.”
