Udupi: Sudarshan Mallya of Codelogs Technologies, addressed the imperative need for students to confront the challenges of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the contemporary era.

Speaking at the culmination of the “Techno Cultural Festival – Pradeepta” organized for MSc Computer Science students at MGM College, Mallya emphasized the significance of staying abreast of global developments and acquiring requisite skills to navigate the AI landscape effectively.

The event, inaugurated by Varadaraya Pai, Secretary of the Academy of General Education, witnessed the presence of distinguished dignitaries including Principal Prof Lakshminarayan Karanth, Principal of PU College Malatidevi, Principal of Evening College Dr. Devidas Nayak, and Prof Ramesh Karla, alongside IQAC Coordinator Prof Shailaja.

Head of the Computer Science Department, Dr. M. Vishwanath Pai, outlined the agenda, while lecturers Mithun and Pallavi announced the names of prize winners. Prof Praveena Kumari MK and Prof Poornima Shetty significantly contributed to the event’s success.

The festival’s essence was encapsulated by the students themselves, with Varshini, Prasad, Sudarshan, Srihari, Hrithikraj, Ambika, Namrita, Aishwarya, Sulakshmi, Saujanya, Deeksha, and Rakshita narrating their experiences. Prof Pavitra K., the convener of Pradipta, provided insights into the various competitions held during the festival, which showcased the talent of 345 students across 13 different categories.
