Katapadi: Pedestrian injured after being hit by express bus

A pedestrian sustained serious injuries after being hit by an express bus at Katapadi on National Highway 66 on Saturday evening.
The injured, identified as Kumar, resides in a rented house in the locality. He is said to be a member of a music band.
Locals immediately rushed Kumar to a hospital in Udupi for treatment.
Traffic on the highway was disrupted due to the accident. Katapadi police personnel reached the accident spot and conducted an inspection.
